Originally from California, Nicole studied art in the US and earned her Master's degree in Journalism at Sheffield University in the UK. She has over 20 years of experience in editorial management and has worked as a journalist in the French & Italian Riviera since 2011, writing for Italy Magazine, Monaco Economie and Riviera Times. In 2016, she helped Hello Monaco bring their successful Russian website online in English and edited the first issues of Hello Monaco Magazine. In 2018, she took over as Editor-in-Chief of Riviera Insider, when the founder and Nicole's mentor, Petra Hall, retired. Bon Vivant Mag is a project years in the making, put on-hold while Nicole ran Riviera Insider. This site will not only fill the void left by the loss of RI in 2021, but also expand on the fascinating stories of luxury artisans.
Alexa Bouhelier-Ruelle

Alexa is a French journalist who was born in Paris but grew up in Aix en Provence. With a lifelong passion for culture and cinema, she studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh and received her Master’s Degree in Bilingual Journalism from the Sorbonne. She has worked as a freelance writer and film critic, contributing to both French and English websites, and wrote a column for Riviera Insider. In 2019, she oversaw the transition of Here & There magazine from digital to print and edited the first two editions of their city series, including Paris, her home for over ten years. She has returned to the Riviera to bring her journalistic expertise and editorial experience to Bon Vivant magazine.
